Roy D. McQueen & Associates, Ltd. (RDM) can assist engineering firms and select clients with the development of contract documents for airport pavement improvement projects. Projects have been successfully implemented both on a national and international scale, with projects funded by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), multi-national corporations, and international lending institutions.

Typical services in this domain include analysis of design alternatives, identification of governing design criteria, generation of pavement construction details, concrete jointing details and plans, marking plans, aircraft maneuvering plans, and miscellaneous details, development of technical specifications and special provisions, quality control review, and assistance in securing grant funding or bank financing.

To support the design effort, RDM has full computer aided drafting (CAD) and word processing capabilities. The firm is also registered with most international banking institutions.

As a firm, we take pride in the fact that our personnel are "real world" engineers, with experience in both detailed design and construction. Further, RDM has assisted the U.S. FAA with the development of the quality assurance and quality control requirements of many of the standard FAA paving specifications in use today, including hot mix asphalt (P-401), concrete (P-501) and miscellaneous base course items. As such, we are in a unique position to tailor these standard specifications to meet the site specific or unique requirements of particular projects.
